On the topic of that tarsands explosion I mentioned this morning — here’s a very lively description of what it was like, from today’s Edmonton Journal.

“The entire camp shook,” said one employee, who was in a nearby trailer. “We thought someone had driven a huge vehicle into the trailer. Then we looked outside, and all you could see was fire.

“Then everyone ran. There were big sheets of corrugated metal falling from the sky.”
