1 COURT RULES TODAY This morning, the Saskatchewan Court Of Appeal will rule on whether marriage commissioners can recuse themselves from marrying same-sex couples on religious grounds. They better get this one right. Will public servants get handed a “my religion sez I don’t have to do that thing I think is icky” pass?

And the NYT’s Paul Krugman says the suspect might  be nuts but that doesn’t excuse the climate of conservative hate rhetoric.

6 POWER AND PRIVILEGE Apparently if the Kennedy family doesn’t like the way their public-figure members are portrayed in a TV series they can lobby their friends in high places and get the show pulled off a network. Hm hmm.
