A few years ago, Joey Tremblay collaborated with an earlier incarnation of the Globe Theatre’s Young Company to produce The Alice Nocturne — a fantastical version of the Alice in Wonderland story that, after premiering as part of the Sandbox Series, was eventually expanded into a Main Stage play.

The Story of Mr. Wright is the product of another collaboration with the Young Company and established theatre artists. This time, the pros are Christian Barry and Anthony Black, co-artistic directors of Halifax’s 2b Theatre.  In October, that company presented Invisible Atom as part of the Globe’s Sandbox Series.

Along with Duncan Fisher, Kate Herriot, Daniel Maslany, Judy Wensel and Ashley Turner of the Young Company, Barry and Black developed this production — which advance publicity describes as “a play about medical miracles, the power of story and the healing power of the mind.”

The Story of Mr. Wright runs Jan. 20-29. For ticket info call 525-6400.
