This is the second event in the MAGDANCE performance series that’s part of New Dance Horizons three month residency at the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Featured are four works by hot young choreographers from the three prairie provinces.

Pieces being performed include bang/crunch by Calgary’s Jason Stroh which is being danced by Hilary Maxwell (pictured); Map by Winnipeg’s Andrew Milne which is being danced by Johanna Riley and Sarah Roche; Surrender Method by Edmonton’s Raena Waddell which she will dance with Vincent Forcier and a duet by Regina-based Johanna Bundon and her Winnipeg-based cousin Branwyn.

Prairie Dance Circuit runs tonight and Friday night at the MacKenzie at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 adults, $18 Seniors and $22 Friends of MacKenzie Gallery or New Dance Horizons.

Saturday at 2 p.m. there’s a free panel discussion at the gallery where the choreographers will discuss their working method.
