This is another one of those productions where you would’ve had to have just arrived on a spaceship from Altair or some other intergalactic destination to not know what it was about.
And while I do admit that some of the feedback we receive at prairie dog does lead me to wonder if maybe some of our readers aren’t agents sent by an alien civilization fearful of the threat we might eventually pose if we ever got our shit together to agitate against progress and champion retro-conservative ideology to hinder our evolution into an intergalactic civilization I’m pretty sure that’s not the case.
So there’s no need for me to continue any further other than to note that this touring production of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale (with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg) is at Conexus Arts Centre Dec. 14-16. Call 525-9999 for tix.
