I don’t know if the RSO has a designated bell-ringer, but if they do, tonight at Conexus Arts Centre they’ll have an opportunity to shine when the symphony under conductor Victor Sawa presents this musical interpretation of Chris Van Alsburg’s heart-warming 1985 story about a Minnesota boy who learns a life-lesson about the spirit of Christmas during a magical journey to the North Pole.
Tonight’s performance is at 8 p.m. For tix call 586-9555. To set the stage, here’s the trailer for the 2004 film starring Tom Hanks. And keep an eye out for a review in the next few days by Stephen LaRose.
