Having never played a game of organized hockey in my life, I very definitely don’t worship at the altar of whatever it is that makes the game so damn appealing for my fellow Canadians. It’s for their benefit that I’ve made this sequel to the 2007 low-budget Canuck comedy about an otherwise unremarkable guy who is able to achieve fame and fortune because of his skill in the offensive and defensive zone and as a fighter my p-o-t-d.
While rarely stars, such two-way players are an integral component of any squad’s success, and inevitably become fan favourites.
The full title of this sequel is Sure Shot Dombrowski: The Coaching Years. It plays at the RPL Theatre tonight at 9 p.m. I couldn’t find the trailer for SSD2 so here’s the one for the 2007 flick.
