If you’re of a certain age (beyond 45, anyway), you quite likely have a vivid memory of where you were and what you were doing 30 years ago on this day.
That’s right, today marks the 30th anniversary of Mark David Chapman shooting John Lennon to death outside of the Dakota apartment building in New York City where the ex-Beatle lived with his wife Yoko Ono.
To commemorate that sad day, a group of local musicians are presenting a night of Beatles-themed music at the Exchange (doors at 8 p.m.). To close, here’s video of GIve Peace Chance including footage of Lennon and Ono at their famous Bed-In in Montreal in 1969.
