Mastercard dot com appears to be back up after a successful denial of service attack by Anonymous. This distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack would of course be payback for Mastercard’s move to block donations to Wikileaks earlier this week. The Guardian has a timeline of the attacks on Wikileaks. If I was on the Amazon board of directors I’d be looking at the holiday shopping calendar and pooping my pants right about now.
Also, PayPal has admitted it blocked Wikileaks after the U.S. State Department pressured it.
