It wasn’t too long ago, I think, that Two Hours Traffic were through here. Considering they’re based out of Prince Edward Island it’s probably not too surprising that they spend a lot of time on the road. Size-wise, PEI is just a potato skin under 2200 sq miles. So it’s pretty freaking tiny, and it wouldn’t take too long before a band based there would exhaust their venue options and be forced to go off island.
Tonight Two Hours Traffic is at the Exchange. Backing them up is a band called The Jezabels (pictured). They’re apparently from Australia, and their presence on this tour is somewhat ironic given that Two Hours Traffic have a tune called “Jezebel”. Tix are $12 at the door.
Also on tonight, University of Regina English prof Michael Trussler is speaking at Chapters as part of the Coffeehouse Controversies series. The topic of his talk, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is Invisible Cities.
