“I’m starving.” “I’m famished.”
No you’re not. When was your last meal? A few hours ago.
Hopefully for you, as it was for me, that’s the case. But other people who live in Regina aren’t so fortunate. For them, hunger and poor nutrition are a constant presence in their lives. It’s hard to fathom in this day and age, but nonetheless it’s there. The Regina & District Food Bank wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t.
Tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Westminister United Church (3025 13th Ave) Jeffrey Straker, Bob Evans, Annette Campagne (pictured) and several other local entertainers are hosting a benefit for the Food Bank to help it stock up on key staples in advance of winter. Tix are $12 adv., $15 at the door. For more info call 791-6533.
To give you a “taste” here’s Straker’s video for his song “Hypnotized”
