This veteran British punk rock group, which played their first gig way back in 1980, touch down in Regina tonight to play a show at the Distrikt. Long associated with the Oi! movement, the band, which contains one original member in the person vocalist Micky Fitz, has a proud history of political activism. Which isn’t surprising, considering they formed during the early days of the Thatcher regieme.
Playing with The Business tonight are local punk rockers Urinedump and the Jump Off. Doors are at 8 p.m. Tix are $7 adv., $12 door. To get the blood flowing (figuratively, not literally) here’s The Business performing their song “Smash the Discos” at CBGBs in New York in 2002.
Also on tonight at the MacKenzie Art Gallery, aboriginal artist Robert Houle is giving a talk at 7:30 p.m. in connection with the exhibition To Be Reckoned With.
