Rare, but welcome, Tuesday night show at O’Hanlon’s Pub featuring Toronto roots/rockabilly sensation Alistair Christl (pictured) with B.T. & the Inmates.  In the past, Christl has toured with his long-time girlfriend and burlesque performer Tanya Cheex. Don’t know if that’s in the cards tonight or not.

Christl’s debut CD was called Unmarked Grave. Not sure if it’s out yet, but he’s currently supposed to be working on a follow-up called Checkmate. Here’s video of him performing a tune called “Little Jane May”.

Also on tonight at Conexus Arts Centre, there’s a show called Celtic Women.  (7:30 p.m. $86, $69.75.)  Here’s video of the group performing “Caledonia”.

And at the Fainting Goat Restaurant, there’s a DJ set called “Brette and Emma Present Wild Tuesdays”. This has been going for a few weeks now, and according to Emma will run for three more Tuesdays before summer’s end brings a close to the merriment. Tables get pushed aside, and people are free to dance to tunes spun by the aforementioned DJs. If you want to check it out, the Fainting Goat’s on Albert just north of College Ave.
