Not sure how Regina gardens have been faring this year. Some, I imagine, have been hit hard with all the rain and cool temps we had early. But with all the moisture in the soil, and the bit of sun and heat we’ve had lately, some are probably pretty lush.

If you decide to take in this popular New Dance Horizons fundraiser during its three-day run July 16-18, it’ll afford you the perfect opportunity to assess the state of the city’s gardens. Included are daylight and night-time tours of nine or so local gardens.

The theme this year, prophetically enough,  is the Water Garden. The tours are all self-directed. But as you proceed from garden to garden, you’ll have the chance to view in situ performances by local dance artists tied to the Water Garden theme. Night tours are July 16-17 from 7-10 p.m. while day tours are July 17-18 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tix are $35. For more info call 525-5393.
