Here’s a link to a preview of this gig at the Exchange tonight featuring Canuck alt-country icon Fred Eaglesmith. In addition to his quirky songs about all sorts of quirky things that make living in Canada if not way cool, then at least moderately interesting/entertaining/perplexing, Fred is also famous for his between-song monologues.
Tonight, he’ll be sharing the stage with the Fabulous Ginn Sisters. Doors are at 8 p.m. Tix are $20 adv., $25 at the door. Here’s video of Eaglesmith peforming the song “Ship” in Amsterdam in 2004.
Also on the music front tonight, there’s a rare Wednesday night gig at O’Hanlon’s Pub featuring Vancouver indie-rockers Mt.. Royal and the Freak Heat Waves. At Buskwakker, local group Ron Loos & the 13TH Avenue Project are playing at 9 p.m.
