Not to be outdone, Prairie Dog’s Best Restaurant of 2010 is getting in on the Drunken Lime action with a lime of their very own. I haven’t tried this one yet, but I’ll be ordering one of these on my next visit to ‘The Goat’. That’s what I call The Fainting Goat when I’m in a hurry or feeling particularly important.
The Fainting Goat Drunken Lime
1 1/2 oz Hendricks gin
1/2 oz kiwi reduction syrup
3/4 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
half an egg white
Directions: Combine ingredients. Shake really, really hard.
Just as an aside, have you ever encountered a drink with egg white? Sometimes I think bartenders are sadists with the power of alcohol at their cruelly whorled fingertips.
Thumbs up on the Hendricks gin, though.
