Trippy, exhilarating, magnificent… Alegria has everything you could possibly want in a show with dozens of extremely talented, creative, superhuman beings doing beautiful things with their perfect, nubile, athletic young bodies. There were a few too many time-wasting clowns for my taste when I saw it last night with my mom, but the kids in the crowd ate it up: the giggles alone were just magic. (Apparently only adult children are afraid of clowns. Who knew?). If you can see it, do. (Bon Jovi: Pfft.) For my interview with Carmen Ruest, go to this week’s issue of the dog.

One thing I regret I didn’t ask is: How do we get them to come dancing with us at the gay bar?
