Friday June 25 was apparently Take Your Dog to Work Day. I never heard of it before – it has something to do with trying to make more people adopt dogs so in that spirit I present Lassie’s Rescue Rangers.
From 1973 to 1975 Lassie, the star of numerous movies, radio and TV shows had its own cartoon. The show had Lassie living with a family of forest rangers. Lassie helped the rangers protect the National Park that they lived in with the help of the Rescue Rangers. The Rescue Rangers were eight animals including Groucho the owl, Toothless the mountain lion, Musty the skunk, and Robbie the raccoon. I’m not sure how much help the toothless lion and smelly skunk were.
