According to a City of Regina press release, starting at 7 a.m. on Sunday (June 13) the traffic changes that have been proposed as part of the Downtown Revitalization initiative will officially come into effect. At that time, 11th and 12th Ave. between Albert and Broad will be converted to two-way traffic, as will 1800 blocks Lorne and Cornwall St.

To accommodate construction of the new plaza space on the north side of Victoria Park 12th Ave. between Lorne and Scarth will be closed until sometime this fall. Traffic will also be restricted on 1800 Lorne to accommodate underground work at the site.

For some background on the changes and how they’ve been greeted by Reginans here’s a link to an article Paul Dechene wrote in our June 3 issue.
