This show at Casino Regina tonight at 8 p.m. is sold-out, so unless you already have tix, or are perhaps willing to delve into the re-sale market you will be out of luck. Thorogood (pictured) and his crack band are truly legendary blues artists. Here’s video of a 1980 performance of “Madison Blues” in Germany.
Also on tonight musicwise the Edmonton indie rock duo The Famines are scheduled to play the Exchange. At O’Hanlon’s Pub, two local bands Ink Road and Dan Besuijen & the Gov will be rocking out.
Finally, at the University of Regina today between 4-6 p.m. there’s a closing reception for an exhibition at Fifth Parallel Gallery called QC15. The show features work by 15 senior arts students and examines realistic and idealized notions of life in Regina. Included are aboriginal perspectives, thoughts on socialboundaries and economic struggles in the city, explorations of socio-cultural and historical constructs related to the self-styled Queen City of the Plains and the like.
