Not my cup of tea, admittedly. But Chad Kroeger of Nickelback apparently likes them, so much so that he’s credited on Wikipedia with discovering them, and signing them to his 604 record label. Orginally an alt-rock type band, Faber Drive, like a number of their contemporaries (Stereos, Marianas Trench, Simple Plan) have shifted to a more pop punk sound lately. Although judging from the video for their song “G-Get Up and Dance” (YouTube) they’re considerably more pop than punk. Tonight, they’re at the Distrikt with the Latency (doors at 7:30 p.m. $15 adv. All-ages.)
Also on tonight at the Bushwakker, it’s the folk duo Theresa & Carol (9 p.m.)
