Quite a diverse assortment of things to do tonight. First off, Canadian comic Martin Short (pictured) is at Casino Regina at 8 p.m. At the OUTside Club, there’s a drag show that’s billed as Candyland and Munchie Mayhem. I’m not exactly sure what that all means, but it sounds like fun. At Brandt Centre tonight and tomorrow night there’s some Monster Truck thing happening that probably has to be seen to be believed — in terms of spectacle, I mean. Ditto the Pile O’ Bones Tattoo & Motorcycle Show at the Highland Curling Club. Finally, at O’Hanlons Pub local hip hop artist Def 3 is performing with Kid Kriss, Antony of Egygt and Ali Rasheed. Recently returned from a European tour, which was extended for a week or so in Amsterdam because of the volcano in Iceland, Def 3 has been attracting increased national and international attention for his deadly rhymin skills. Here’s the video for his song “Stutter Step” (YouTube)
